First-ever expo for Dads!

A special event to celebrate fatherhood!

After years of organizing events for moms, we are now embarking on a new journey, to celebrate the other half of the parenting team, DADS! Our shout out, “Hey dad, it’s your turn”, is inspired by a consistent reaction we have been getting when we announce our next event: the first-ever, EXPO DAD on July 18, 2009, Saturday 10am to 8pm at the Rockwell Tent.

We believe that just like moms, today’s active father would also be interested in an activity which will serve his needs and wants as a parent, a man, a friend to his spouse and kids.  For him, we give birth to EXPO DAD which will showcase everything for dads under one roof. Flip Flops Heaven!

My love affair with Havaianas started 4 years ago when my events company, Creative Juice, was first hired to help organize Havaianas’ signature event, Make Your Own Havaianas. Like other Havaianaticos, this fun-filled, much awaited fashion event is something I always look forward to.  It’s fun choosing from the colors of soles and straps, plus pins and Swarovski crystals, which are then mixed and matched and assembled right before your eyes.  Then you get to bring home and wear a pair that is truly your own creation.

Havaianas is now practically my default footwear– for casual trips to the mall, to my kids’ school, on weekend getaways, for quick errands to the grocery or to the bank, or even while I was pregnant and when I gave birth at the hospital– they are on my feet maybe 90% of the time!  I love my Havaianas because they’re so comfy, practical, and still make me look fashionable specially when I put on my pairs that are embellished with pins or crystals.

Make Your Own Havaianas 2009 is happening again on May 28 to June 1, 2009 at the Rockwell Tent. It is open during mall hours of Power Plant Mall.

Pledge for Hope!

Did you know that cervical cancer is the second most common cancer in women worldwide, with 500,000 new cases and 250,000 deaths reported each year. Over 80% of cases occur in developing countries including the Philippines, where it is ranked as the second most common cancer afflicting Filipino women.

On May 24, Sunday, The Tour of Hope 2009, a cycling event which aims to raise awareness on cervical cancer and raise funds for screening of underprivileged women, kicks off in Muntinlupa City.  Tour of Hope is held all over the world and is now on its second year in the Philippines. This year’s tour will cover approximately 500 kilometers spreading the cervical cancer advocacy throughout Southern Luzon as it culminates in Camarines Sur on May 28.

More than 60 core bikers, including David Charlton and  Joyette Jopson of Team David’s Salon, Jeena Lopez, Tessa Prieto-Valdes,
