If you’re a carb-addicted nursing mom like me, this is something you ought to try!
Maricel Cua of Medela texted me about this yummy pandesal that’s also a great way to sneak in the veggies (bitter malunggay leaves in this case which, i am not too fond of) into our daily diet. You can also try offering it as “Shrek’s pandesal” (because of its green color) to your kids and see the magic that will happen! The bread is soft and chewy, its sweetness is just right, with no malunggay taste whatsoever.
Since Malunggay leaves have been known to increase milk supply of breastfeeding mothers, this is also a nice alternative to taking malunggay pills or downing bowls of tinola or halaan soup!
