On October 31, years and years ago, my mom was asked “Trick or Treat?!”, and what a treat she received: ME!  :-)  Yes I was born on Halloween! While I used to consider this a bane because everyone was busy collecting their OWN treats on what was supposed to me MY special day, now, as a mom, i find it to be a blessing because my birthday is always a guaranteed FUN day with hubby and kids, with the many events that happen all around town.Three events you and your family SHOULD NOT MISS!Havaianas PLAY BACK : October 25, 1pm, Bonifacio High Street in front of All Flip Flops. Our favorite flip flops brand pays tribute to retro family games we all used to play and still love! Piko, patintero, sipa… we were all experts at these, but have we ever shared these great Pinoy classics with our own children? Come to High Street on Saturday and not only enjoy sharing part of our own childhood with our kids, but also bring home goodies from Havaianas!Then on Sunday, troop on to Rockwell Power Plant Mall, where the best kids events happen!  This year’s theme, JUNGLE JAM promises to be an event that we mommies love: a mix of fun and education.  With partners WWF and My Zoo on board, kids get to learn and see live exotic animals and learn about them.  Plus with sponsors Kiddieparty.com, Hershey’s and Tutoring Club, lots of treats and free activities are in store, just before the kids go to the mall and collect the yummy treats from Power Plant’s stores.  Tickets are at P450 per child inclusive of 1 adult, available at the Customer Service counter of Rockwell.On the same day, Edsa Shangrila Hotel holds its own grand event, KIDDIE KARNIVAL 2008.   This popular offering of the hotel takes a different format this year, with a very interesting exposition of products and services for moms and kids, plus fun activities round the clock for all attendees.I’m looking forward to a fun, fun weekend with my kids!
